A rapidly growing construction company based in beautiful San Diego is seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to help manage the financial health of the organization. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while contributing to the success of high-quality, on-time, and on-budget projects. Key responsibilities include managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, preparing and reconciling general ledger entries, assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, supporting project cost tracking and job costing activities, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budgeting efforts. The role also involves coordinating with external auditors, assisting with tax filings, and maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of accounting experience—preferably in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of GAAP, solid analytical skills, and experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage 300, or Procore are essential.
