We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in the South Bay. In this role, you will lead and support both internal teams and client-based accounting operations, bringing strategic insight, operational excellence, and high-level financial expertise. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CPA with a background in public accounting who thrives in a dynamic and client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and train both internal team members and client-side accounting personnel
Perform and review comprehensive financial statement analysis and develop tailored management reports and KPIs
Prepare and review GAAP financial statements including:
Bank reconciliations
Accounts receivable and bad debt analysis
Prepaid expense amortization
Inventory costing and valuation
Expense accruals and reconciliation
Debt and interest analysis
Profit and loss review including revenue/expense recognition
Balance sheet account reconciliations
Assess and enhance internal accounting systems and processes to strengthen internal controls
Review and analyze financial projections, budgets, and variances
Evaluate debt financing and capital-raising strategies
Assist in buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Active CPA license is REQUIRED
Minimum of 6 years of experience in public accounting

Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (intermediate to advanced)
Experience with QuickBooks Online; familiarity with QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or other ERP systems is a plus
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to manage multiple clients and projects in a fast-paced environment
Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Self-motivated and committed to continuous professional development
Willingness to travel to client sites (including occasional overnight stays)
Availability to work overtime when required
