Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is ideal for an entry to mid-level accounting professional with strong experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) and a solid understanding of general accounting principles. The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, seek long-term stability, and demonstrate the ability to grow within the company.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee Accounts Receivable processes
Prepare monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Assist in preparing documentation for external audits
Support payroll and accounts payable functions
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and inventory management
Prepare and file Sales & Use tax returns
Recommend cost-saving strategies to enhance financial performance
Organize and update financial records

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience with NetSuite by Oracle and Paycom
Strong mathematical, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial data

Competencies:
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Knowledge of accounting processes and financial reporting
Strong problem-solving skills and troubleshooting of accounting software
Professionalism and integrity when dealing with sensitive financial information

Work Environment:
This position is based in a quiet, collaborative office setting with occasional interruptions. The role does not involve supervisory responsibilities and requires standing, sitting, and using hands throughout the workday.
