We are recruiting an experienced Staff Accountant.
The Staff Accountant is responsible for executing key accounting functions, including managing accounts receivable processes and reconciling company credit card transactions. This role supports the finance team by ensuring accurate and timely billing, maintaining financial records, and assisting with month-end close activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of working collaboratively across departments. Key Responsibilities: Accounts Receivable: • Generate client invoices using information provided by the Account Service and Media departments. • Review monthly Billing Worksheets for assigned clients; research and resolve any outstanding billable hours or costs. • Create and distribute client statements for Account Service review. • Monitor the Accounts Receivable Aging Report monthly and provide status updates on aged invoices. • Collaborate with Directors and Managers to ensure all employee timesheets are submitted and completed on time for client billing. Credit Card Management: • Review all company credit card charges for appropriate project, item, general ledger coding, and use tax accrual. • Post credit card charges as submitted and reconcile statements as part of the monthly close process. • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to credit card transactions or inquiries from other departments. Miscellaneous: • Participate in special accounting projects and perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field (preferred) • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience • Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and credit card reconciliation • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
