A growing company is currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Sr. Staff Accountant to join its accounting department. This is an immediate opportunity for the right candidate—someone with a stable work history, strong accounting fundamentals, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
The Sr. Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting monthly close processes, preparing tax filings, assisting with audits, and working directly with the controller on day-to-day accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Accounts Receivable functions and support Accounts Payable
Prepare monthly journal entries and assist with month-end close
Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts
Track and manage inventory records
Prepare and file Sales & Use Tax returns
Assist in budget preparation and financial audits
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records
Support payroll processing as needed
Help identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, and Paycom
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive financial data with discretion
Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills
Preference will be given to candidates with a stable work history
Work Environment:
This position is based in a professional office setting. The team values a friendly and collaborative atmosphere, where focus and accountability are balanced with mutual support. Typical work includes extended use of computers and regular interaction with team members and other departments.
