Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading strategic initiatives that enhance healthcare management and benefit administration services. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, aligning projects with business strategy, and ensuring successful delivery of high-impact initiatives. The position requires strong project management expertise, knowledge of healthcare compliance, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and oversee strategic projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory standards.
• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Collaborate with leadership, clinical, IT, compliance, and operations teams to define project goals and deliverables.
• Monitor project performance, ensuring adherence to best practices, organizational policies, and industry benchmarks.
• Identify and mitigate risks early in the lifecycle to avoid delays or compliance issues.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders, providing executive reporting and decision support.
• Conduct post-project evaluations and implement lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Stay updated on healthcare industry trends, innovations, and regulatory changes to inform strategy.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Pharmacy, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of progressive project management experience in healthcare, managed care, or benefit administration industries.
• Strong understanding of compliance, regulatory frameworks, and healthcare delivery systems.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results in a regulated, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and change management capabilities.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana) and reporting software (e.g., Power BI, Excel).
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

• In-depth knowledge of the Puerto Rico healthcare landscape and payer–provider relationships.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in managed care contracts, compliance, and performance models.
