.Senior New Accounts Banker

Position Summary:
The Senior New Accounts Banker is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while opening and managing new consumer and business accounts. This role serves as a subject matter expert in account products, compliance, and onboarding processes, ensuring accuracy, regulatory adherence, and a seamless client experience. The Senior Banker also supports branch operations, mentors junior staff, and helps drive deposit growth through relationship-building and cross-selling strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Open and process a variety of new accounts, including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and business accounts
Ensure compliance with all banking regulations, including KYC (Know Your Customer), CIP, AML, and bank policies
Review and verify documentation for accuracy and completeness during the account onboarding process
Serve as a resource for complex account scenarios, escalations, and problem resolution
Build strong client relationships by identifying financial needs and recommending appropriate products and services
Cross-sell banking products such as credit cards, loans, and digital banking solutions
Perform account maintenance, updates, and closures as needed
Assist with audits and ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping standards are met
Support branch goals related to deposits, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency
Train and mentor new or junior team members on processes, systems, and compliance requirements
Qualifications:
3–5+ years of retail banking experience, with a focus on new accounts
Strong knowledge of banking regulations and compliance
Experience handling consumer and business accounts
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
Proficiency in banking systems and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous senior or lead banking experience
Experience with business banking or treasury products
Bilingual skills (preferred but not required)
