Position Title: Sr. Buyer, Paid Search

Department: Integrated Marketing Communications – Marketing & Sales
Reports To: Sr. Manager, Paid Search

Position Summary

The Sr. Buyer, Paid Search leads campaign management and optimization across paid search and other performance media channels for Universal’s domestic parks and business units (e.g., Resorts, B2B, events, new attractions). This role manages budgets, develops ad copy, and ensures effective campaign execution through platforms like Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, in collaboration with the Paid Search team and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Execute and optimize paid search campaigns within budget and timeline parameters.

Develop ad copy and manage taxonomy and tagging through platforms like Claravine.

Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance; identify insights and optimization opportunities.

Collaborate cross-functionally with analytics, creative, brand, and legal teams to ensure alignment and campaign compliance.

Manage vendor relationships and coordinate media buys using industry best practices.

Stay current on digital media trends to drive innovation and ROI improvements.

Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety programs and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or related field.

Experience: 3+ years in media buying or paid search, managing $500K+ annual ad spend preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and Search Ads 360; strong analytical and reporting skills.

Soft Skills: Strategic thinker with strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration abilities.

Desired Attributes

Strong understanding of campaign tracking, attribution, and optimization.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently.

Experience representing paid search strategy to cross-functional teams.
