Job Summary
A growing manufacturing organization in Orange, CA is seeking a Senior Accountant for a full-time contract/temporary opportunity. This hybrid role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys financial reporting, general ledger work, inventory accounting, and partnering with operations and finance teams to keep financial data accurate and actionable.
The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller and play a key role in month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, financial analysis, tax support, fixed assets, and accounting activities across multiple locations. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial reporting, financial statements, summaries, journal entries, and month-end close activities for multiple locations.
- Manage general ledger activity, including month-end entries, intercompany accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and GL accuracy reviews.
- Support inventory accounting, including year-end inventory counts, GL adjustments, BOM-related accounting, and issue resolution with operations.
- Assist with payroll processes, AP/AR functions, 1099 preparation, wire creation, ACH support, and banking-related activity.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, sales tax preparation, business tax filings, tax research, fixed asset recording, and depreciation review.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: $85,000 to $95,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, month-end close entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting packages.
- Support inventory accounting, fixed assets, tax preparation, payroll, AP/AR, banking, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
- Review general ledger accounts for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting policies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to gather data, resolve accounting issues, and support audits.
- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a Senior Accountant or similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Proficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and pivot tables.
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, fixed assets, sales tax, AP/AR, and payroll-related accounting support.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to review financial data for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with finance, operations, and other business partners.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing industry accounting experience.
- Inventory accounting experience, including BOM familiarity and support for physical inventory counts.
- Experience supporting multiple locations or entities.
- Familiarity with intercompany accruals, 1099 preparation, ACH activity, wires, and business tax filings.
