Job Ad: Senior Accountant / Financial Analyst (Temp-to-Hire)

Start Date: June 30, 2025
Pay: $36.06 – $42.31/hr

Join a mission-driven organization as a Senior Accountant / Financial Analyst and help support multiple programs and grant-funded initiatives. This temp-to-hire opportunity is perfect for a proactive, detail-oriented accounting professional with strong nonprofit experience and advanced Excel skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly close and maintain general ledger
- Manage funding requests and grant reporting
- Oversee subsystem and external ledger entries
- Evaluate and refine cost allocation methods
- Participate in system upgrades and process improvements
- Mentor team members and support audit/tax prep

What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience (1+ in nonprofit fund accounting)
- Strong knowledge of month-end close, reporting, and reconciliations
- Advanced Excel and accounting software skills (Sage Intacct a plus)
- Exceptional communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with VA accounting/reporting is a strong plus
