We are partnering with a leading solar organization to identify an Experienced Solar Technical Support Specialist to support homeowners with active residential solar PV systems in Bakersfield and surrounding areas. This role is designed specifically for professionals with prior solar industry experience and a strong technical background.
This is not a retail, entry-level, or call-center-only position.

Required Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years of consecutive experience in the solar energy industry
Experience supporting residential solar PV systems
Hands-on experience with:
Solar monitoring platforms (Enphase, SolarEdge, Tesla, SMA, or similar)
Inverter alerts, system faults, and performance troubleshooting
Solar production, consumption data, and system diagnostics
Experience using CRM, ticketing, or service management systems
Ability to navigate multiple software platforms simultaneously
Strong technical documentation and escalation skills
Typing speed of 35 WPM or higher (typing test required)
Ability to work full-time onsite in Bakersfield, CA

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
Experience working with solar installers, O&M teams, or utility interconnections
Experience handling tier-2 solar support or technical escalations
Bilingual (English / Spanish)

Responsibilities
Provide technical support for residential solar systems via phone, email, and ticketing systems
Troubleshoot:
Solar monitoring portal issues
Inverter faults and alerts
System production discrepancies

Educate homeowners on:
Solar system performance
Monitoring and production data
Next technical steps and expectations

Accurately document all customer interactions in CRM systems
Coordinate with:
Field technicians
Operations teams
Installation and service departments
Escalate complex technical issues and track resolution through completion
Maintain high service standards while managing multiple technical cases
