Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable Slitting Helper for a direct hire opportunity in West Columbia, SC. This on-site manufacturing role supports daily slitting operations, including machine setup assistance, changeovers, splicing, packaging, core cutting, and in-line quality checks.

The Slitting Helper will work closely with the Slitting Operator and production team to help meet production goals while maintaining strong standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily slitting line operations by following SOPs, work instructions, and product specifications.
- Load raw materials, unload finished products, and stage packaging materials according to production requirements.
- Cut corrugated cores to required widths and support machine changeovers, splicing, and setup activities.
- Perform in-line quality inspections using approved measuring devices and report equipment or measurement tool issues.
- Support operator-led preventive maintenance and help improve production flow, efficiency, and uptime.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all PPE, housekeeping, and safety requirements.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay Rate: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support slitting line production, including material loading, finished product unloading, and packaging preparation.
- Assist with machine setups, changeovers, splicing, core cutting, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Perform quality inspections using measurement tools and follow production specifications.
- Partner with operators and production team members to maintain safety, quality, and efficiency.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a machine operator, machine helper, or similar production role.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions, SOPs, bills of materials, and product specifications.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.
- Reliable, team-oriented, and able to support multiple production functions as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, and perform physical tasks throughout a 12-hour shift.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment while following all company safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in pressure-sensitive adhesive, PSA, tape manufacturing, converting, slitting, coating, or related web-based manufacturing environments.
- Prior experience supporting slitting operators, coating operators, or production line changeovers.
- Familiarity with packaging preparation, core cutting, and in-process quality inspection procedures.
