We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and dependable Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will manage the daily flow of incoming and outgoing shipments. You will be responsible for verifying received goods against purchase orders, preparing products for shipment, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring all orders are processed efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving: Unload delivery trucks, inspect incoming shipments for damage, verify quantities against packing slips, and log received items into the inventory management system.
Shipping: Pick, pack, label, and secure products for outbound shipment according to company standards and carrier specifications (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL, or Freight).
Inventory Control: Stock received materials in their designated warehouse locations, assist with routine cycle counts, and report any inventory discrepancies.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and international customs paperwork if required.
Safety & Maintenance: Operate warehouse equipment (such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks) safely. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workstation.
Skills and Qualifications
Experience: 1–3 years of experience working in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, or logistics environment preferred.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with inventory software (ERP/WMS systems) and standard shipping carrier software.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, stand or walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive bending or reaching tasks.
Certifications: Forklift certification is a major plus (or willingness to become certified).
Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, excellent time management, and a collaborative team player mindset.
Work Environment
This position operates in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Exposure to varying temperatures (depending on the season) and moderate noise levels from warehouse equipment is typical.
