Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Specialist for a contract/temporary opportunity in Dublin, CA. This role supports warehouse operations within a manufacturing and production environment, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, assembly, inventory accuracy, and general warehouse organization.
The Shipping Specialist will be part of a hands-on, team-oriented warehouse setting where accuracy, communication, and reliability are essential. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys structured warehouse work, takes pride in keeping operations organized, and can support daily shipping deadlines while working closely with management, team members, and transportation carriers.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive inbound products and parts, inspect for quantity accuracy and damage, and store items in the proper warehouse locations.
- Pick, package, label, and ship customer orders according to customer instructions and carrier requirements.
- Assemble glassware, stainless-steel kits, Petri dishes, and related products according to established product standards.
- Enter receiving data for inbound domestic products into the ERP system and help maintain accurate inventory records.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and report shipping errors, discrepancies, or mis-shipments to management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, including general housekeeping and clutter reduction.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $24.00 to $25.00 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Schedule: Start time between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM, end time between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch break.
- Location: Dublin, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support daily warehouse receiving, storage, picking, packing, labeling, and shipping activities.
- Assemble product kits and components according to defined standards.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through ERP entry, cycle counting, and discrepancy reporting.
- Coordinate with UPS, FedEx, DHL, and other transportation providers to ensure complete carrier pickups.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant warehouse, shipping, receiving, production operations, or inventory experience.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- High attention to detail when checking quantities, packaging products, labeling shipments, and entering data.
- Ability to prioritize work and remain effective during deadline-driven situations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with management, coworkers, and transportation companies.
- Reliable attendance and ability to communicate schedule changes in advance.
- Ability to work safely, keep the warehouse clean, and follow established processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using an ERP system for receiving, inventory, or warehouse transactions.
- Prior experience working with UPS, FedEx, DHL, or similar shipping carriers.
- Experience with cycle counting, inventory control, and warehouse organization.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or operations warehouse environment.
