Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving / Logistics Coordinator to support daily warehouse and distribution operations. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining proper documentation, and coordinating with internal teams and external carriers.
The ideal candidate is a team player with strong organizational skills, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Work Schedule
Regular Hours:
Monday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Summer Schedule (Memorial Day – Labor Day):
Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (30-minute meal break)
Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Manage shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Process and verify incoming shipments; post receivers and update inventory records
Prepare and generate shipping documentation, including labels and paperwork
Coordinate domestic and international shipments (experience with Bill of Lading (BOL) preferred)
Communicate with carriers such as UPS and FedEx (air and ground shipments)
Track shipments and provide updates to customer service and internal teams
Ensure all shipping documentation is properly distributed to accounting and customers
Maintain accurate records and support overall inventory control processes
Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
Previous warehouse, shipping & receiving, or logistics experience required
Experience coordinating freight and shipments
Familiarity with shipping documentation (BOL) is a strong plus
Experience with UPS/FedEx systems (air and ground) is preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable communicating via email and working cross-functionally
Basic computer skills; experience with inventory systems (inventory control, cycle counting, tracking) is a plus
Additional Information
This position will initially train alongside the current Shipping Coordinator to learn internal processes
