We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Coordinator on behalf of a leading organization in [industry, e.g., logistics, manufacturing, or retail]. This role is critical to ensuring smooth operations, accurate
documentation, and effective communication with drivers and internal teams.
Position Summary:
As the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator, you will oversee the daily flow of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company and regulatory standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, experience with bills of lading, and the ability to effectively communicate with drivers and other stakeholders to maintain seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage all shipping and receiving activities, including scheduling and tracking shipments.
Prepare, review, and verify bills of lading and other shipping documentation for accuracy and compliance.
Communicate with drivers regarding delivery schedules, shipment details, and any changes or delays.
Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with company standards.
Maintain accurate records of shipments,
inventory, and documentation in the company’s system.
Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely loading and unloading of shipments.
Resolve issues related to damaged goods, shipment discrepancies, or delays.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to ensure adequate stock for outgoing shipments.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies related to shipping and receiving.
Provide exceptional customer service to drivers, vendors, and internal teams.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is a plus).
2–4 years of experience in shipping and receiving, logistics, or a related role.
Strong knowledge of bills of lading and other shipping documentation.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with drivers, vendors, and internal teams.
Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft
Office Suite.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards related to shipping and receiving.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in [specific industry, e.g., manufacturing, logistics, or retail].
Knowledge of ERP systems or shipping software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment is a plus.
