Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable Shipping/Receiving professional for a contract/temporary opportunity in Duarte, CA within a biotechnology/pharmaceutical production environment. This role supports the safe, accurate, and timely handling of donated milk products, including receiving, documentation, freezer storage, and transfer between designated production and storage areas.
This is a great opportunity for someone with 1 to 2 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, production, or regulated environment experience who enjoys hands-on work, detailed processes, and contributing to an important operation. The work environment is structured, safety-focused, and team-oriented, with clear procedures, provided PPE, and support from experienced leadership. Candidates who are organized, reliable, and comfortable standing for most of the shift can succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and verify check-in of donated milk products according to established procedures.
- Enter receiving, inventory, and processing information accurately into internal computer systems.
- Organize received raw milk products in designated freezer storage areas.
- Transfer frozen and sampled raw milk between the sampling cleanroom and freezer storage area in a timely manner.
- Transfer raw milk into containers, apply labels, and bag products for freezer storage.
- Maintain a clean and safe working area using required PPE and approved disinfectants.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $22.21 per hour.

- PPE provided may include safety shoes, over boots or captive boots, safety glasses, goggles, face shields, cut-resistant and chemical-resistant gloves, poly sleeves, aprons, freezer jacket, and overalls.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Perform accurate receiving and check-in of product donations.
- Complete data entry in internal computer systems.
- Transfer, label, bag, and organize product for freezer storage.
- Support safe warehouse, production, and freezer-area handling procedures.
- 1 to 2 years of related experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, production, operations, or a similar hands-on environment.
- Ability to lift and handle product averaging 20 to 30 pounds as needed.
- Comfortable standing for the majority of the workday, with limited seated time available.
- Ability to walk product into freezer storage areas, with minimal time spent inside the freezer.
- Ability to follow written procedures, safety protocols, and sanitation requirements.
- Comfortable using PPE and approved cleaning or disinfecting products for the assigned work area.
- Strong attention to detail for labeling, documentation, and data entry accuracy.
- Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work in a regulated production or warehouse setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, food production, medical product handling, or another regulated environment.
- Previous experience working with freezer storage, cleanroom-adjacent processes, or temperature-sensitive materials.
- Basic computer skills and prior experience entering inventory or receiving data into a business system.
