Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable Shipping/Receiving associate for a contract/temporary opportunity in Duarte, CA within a biotechnology and pharmaceutical production environment. This role is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, production, or inventory handling experience who is comfortable working in a regulated environment with attention to accuracy, safety, and product integrity.
The Shipping/Receiving associate will support the check-in, handling, storage, transfer, and documentation of donated raw milk products. This position offers a structured, team-oriented work environment with supportive leadership, clear procedures, and provided personal protective equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform and verify check-in of donated raw milk products according to established procedures.
- Enter accurate product and inventory information into internal computer systems.
- Organize received raw milk products in designated freezer storage areas.
- Transfer frozen and sampled raw milk between the sampling cleanroom and freezer storage areas in a timely manner.
- Transfer raw milk into containers, label products, and bag items for freezer storage.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work area using required PPE and approved disinfectants.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $22.21 per hour.

- PPE provided may include safety shoes, over boots or captive boots, safety glasses, goggles, face shields, cut-resistant and chemical-resistant gloves, poly sleeves, aprons, freezer jacket, and overalls.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Perform shipping, receiving, and check-in tasks for raw material donations.
- Complete accurate data entry in internal computer systems.
- Handle, label, bag, transfer, and organize product in warehouse, cleanroom, and freezer-adjacent areas.
- Maintain safe handling practices while using PPE and approved cleaning agents.
- 1-2 years of relevant warehouse, shipping, receiving, production, inventory, or operations experience preferred for this experience level.
- Ability to stand for the majority of the shift, with stool access available as needed.
- Ability to lift and handle an average of 20-30 lbs., with product typically consisting of small 8 oz bags placed in trays or boxes.
- Comfortable walking product into freezer areas, with minimal time spent inside the freezer.
- Ability to follow written procedures, labeling requirements, safety rules, and sanitation practices.
- Basic computer and data entry skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work safely with provided PPE and approved surface disinfectants for the assigned work area.
- Dependable, organized, and able to work effectively in a production and warehouse environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, food production, cold storage, cleanroom support, or regulated manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with inventory documentation, product labeling, freezer storage, or controlled material handling.
- Experience following GMP, food safety, sanitation, or quality control procedures.
