The Shipping Lead is responsible for overseeing daily shipping operations to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient movement of goods. This role requires strong organizational skills, leadership ability, and hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has a stable work history and a proven track record in shipping, receiving, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate shipping team activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Schedule and prioritize outbound shipments to meet customer deadlines.
Verify accuracy of orders, packing lists, and shipping documentation.
Operate and oversee use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and proper documentation.
Communicate with carriers and internal departments to resolve shipping issues.
Train and mentor shipping staff on best practices and safety procedures.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflow and reduce errors.

Skills:

Knowledge of shipping systems and freight carriers
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and inventory reports
