We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity within the aerospace and defense manufacturing industry. This role is ideal for someone with previous shipping, receiving, inventory, administrative, or warehouse support experience who enjoys accuracy, organization, and working in a fast-paced production environment.
As a Shipping Clerk, you will help ensure materials, products, and documentation are processed accurately and on time. This is a strong opportunity to join a stable manufacturing environment with a team-focused culture, supportive leadership, and the potential to grow into a long-term role.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, verify, and process outgoing shipments according to company procedures and customer requirements.
- Assist with receiving, inventory tracking, labeling, packing, and documentation accuracy.
- Enter shipping, receiving, and inventory data into computer systems with attention to detail.
- Coordinate with production, warehouse, and administrative teams to support daily shipping priorities.
- Maintain organized records, files, and work areas to support efficient operations.
- Help identify and resolve shipment discrepancies, missing information, or documentation issues.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $21 to $25 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Process shipping and receiving paperwork, labels, packing slips, and related documentation.
- Support inventory accuracy through organized tracking, data entry, and recordkeeping.
- Coordinate daily shipment activity with production, warehouse, and operations teams.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Previous shipping, receiving, administrative, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred.
- Basic computer and data entry skills required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a production environment.
- Ability to communicate professionally with internal teams and follow established procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing, production, aerospace, or defense-related environment.
- Familiarity with shipping documentation, inventory systems, or warehouse processes.
- Experience supporting time-sensitive shipments or production schedules.
