This Shipper/Warehouse Position Features: The shipper I is responsible for preparing, packaging, and shipping customer order in a timely and accurate manner. This role ensures products are packed according to company standards, documented properly and shipped using the appropriate carriers and processes. The Shipper I also supports warehouse functions, cycle counting and the building of kits.
• Ship goods both domestic and international, as well as consolidating shipments.
• Receiving of products using barcode scanners.
• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for shipment following work instructions and specifications.
• Perform shipping functions accurately, in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Perform visual inspections of products and packaging materials to ensure quality of product.
• Provide tracking information to various personnel and customers upon request.
• Regular use of scanners and barcode guns.
• Participate in the company’s Lean and Continuous Improvement programs.
• Perform additional logistics or warehouse duties as assigned.
• Follow on-time shipping requirements and escalate issues that may impact schedule.
• Communicate with supervisors and warehouse teams to support daily shipping operations.
Experience:
• 0-2 years of warehouse, logistics or shipping experience
• Basic computer skills: ability to learn ERP and shipping systems
• Experience or training in hazardous materials shipping (i.e. Lithium-Ion batteries) preferred.
• Ability to work with Microsoft office and PDF files.
• Packaging & shipping raw materials and finished goods in a timely, safe manner and must be familiar with various packaging techniques.
• Knowledge with U.S. export shipment regulations.
