Job Summary
We are seeking a Service Specialist for an on-site contract opportunity in San Antonio, TX. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented production, print, or copy center professional who enjoys hands-on work, operating production equipment, and supporting high-quality document and print services in a professional business environment.
The Service Specialist will work in a print production center supporting a variety of copy, print, finishing, binding, large format, and specialty production requests. This is a great opportunity for someone with 1 to 2 years of related experience who wants to build skills across multiple production processes while working with a supportive team and clear daily expectations.
This position offers a stable on-site setting, professional business casual environment, free on-site parking, and the opportunity to contribute to high-visibility print and production initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate high-volume black and white and color copy and print equipment, including document imaging systems and related software.
- Perform finishing and bindery services such as cutting, trimming, folding, collating, stapling, hole punching, spiral binding, tape binding, lamination, and quality checks.
- Support large format print production, including posters, banners, foamboard, coroplast, vinyl stickers, and related materials.
- Produce specialty items such as envelope printing, engraved name plates, coins, dog tags, and other custom production requests.
- Maintain production records, supply inventories, meter logs, service logs, billing logs, and customer job status updates.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, mail handling, copier area upkeep, equipment checks, and other site support duties as assigned.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $19.00 to $20.00 per hour.
- Work location: On-site in San Antonio, TX 78240.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Operate high-volume print, copy, document imaging, and finishing equipment in a production center environment.
- Complete binding, trimming, folding, lamination, large format printing, and quality control tasks.
- Support customer print requests, job tracking, supply inventory, and daily production workflow.
- Maintain equipment areas, clear basic paper jams, inspect output quality, and communicate service needs.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a related production, copy center, print shop, mailroom, document services, or operations environment preferred.
- Experience with binding, finishing, and large format printing is strongly desired.
- Ability to use office machines, production equipment, basic hand tools, calculators, keyboards, and PC systems.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, email, file opening, saving, transferring, and document management protocols.
- Strong customer service, organization, prioritization, filing, and basic math skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, stretch, and perform hands-on production tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 to 55 lbs. and push or pull equipment on wheels as needed.
- Strong attention to detail, quality control mindset, and ability to follow established procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior copy center, print production, mail services, document imaging, or on-site services experience.
- Experience using bindery equipment, paper cutters, hole drillers, shrink-wrap machines, joggers, stackers, electric staplers, scales, postage meters, and high-volume copiers.
- Experience supporting large format print production, lamination, vinyl, banners, posters, or specialty print products.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with supervisors, team members, and customers.
