Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Service Sales Manager to lead HVAC service sales for a mechanical services group in Seattle, WA. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a proven HVAC sales leader with strong mechanical contracting experience, operational leadership capability, and a track record of growing revenue while protecting profitability.
In this role, you will guide a high-performing team across service sales, project management, engineering, and coordination while serving as a trusted customer-facing leader for complex service, retrofit, repair, and maintenance opportunities. Key Responsibilities
- Lead HVAC service sales strategy to grow market share, revenue, gross profit, and operating income.
- Oversee project managers, service sales engineers, project engineers, and project coordinators while supporting recruiting, retention, training, and succession planning.
- Manage annual budgets, 5-year financial planning, billings, collections, cash flow, KPI tracking, and financial reporting.
- Review contracts, pricing, estimates, scopes of work, and risk on complex or high-value HVAC service and retrofit projects.
- Support new account development, maintenance agreements, repairs, retrofits, and customer relationship growth.
- Partner with construction, field operations, HR, corporate leadership, subcontractors, vendors, and customers to resolve high-level business and project issues.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $130,000 to $190,000 per year.
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Exempt position.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, with typical hours between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.
- Travel: Limited travel, approximately 0 to 10%, with occasional overnight travel.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Lead HVAC service sales growth, account development, and sales team performance.
- Manage financial planning, P&L performance, billing, collections, and KPI reporting.
- Oversee service sales engineers, project managers, project engineers, and project coordinators.
- Review high-value HVAC service, retrofit, maintenance, and repair opportunities for scope, pricing, contract terms, and risk.
- 10+ years of HVAC sales, sales management, and operational leadership experience.
- Strong background in HVAC service, retrofit, repair, and maintenance contracting.
- Proven P&L ownership within a mechanical contracting or related service environment.
- Experience with compensation administration, financial reporting, budgets, billings, collections, and cash flow management.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, HVAC equipment, technical risk, estimating, and project scope review.
- Experience leading professional teams, developing talent, supporting succession planning, and improving retention.
- Skilled in customer relationship management, high-level issue resolution, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proactive, self-directed, adaptable, and motivated to improve people, processes, and business results.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading HVAC service sales within a mechanical contracting environment.
- Background supporting retrofit, service agreement, repair, and maintenance growth strategies.
- Experience assigning leads based on geography, customer relationships, technical strengths, and market opportunity.
- Familiarity partnering with construction, field operations, HR, legal, vendors, subcontractors, and corporate leadership.
