Position: Department Lead – Technical Operations
Location: Bellevue, WA – 100% Onsite (Parking Provided)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Compensation: $80,000–$120,000/year DOE
Dress Code: Business Casual (polos/jeans OK; business attire for client meetings)

Overview:
A well-established and growing organization is seeking a collaborative and hands-on leader to oversee a small team of experienced technical professionals. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring, leading cross-functional projects, and acting as a key liaison between internal teams and external clients. The ideal candidate brings both technical expertise and a people-first leadership style, with a strong track record of managing timelines, relationships, and deliverables.

Only Washington State residents who hold an active WA State professional engineering license will be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support a team of technical staff across multiple ongoing projects

Facilitate kickoff meetings, coordinate project milestones, and ensure timelines are met

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and external partners

Prepare proposals, estimates, and service agreements

Support the business development team through occasional outreach and industry networking

Serve as a key point of contact across internal departments and client accounts

Step in to provide technical or operational support as needed to keep projects on track

Qualifications:

Licensed professional (Washington State) in a technical or engineering discipline

7+ years of relevant experience, including leadership or team mentorship

Strong organizational, communication, and delegation skills

Comfortable in a client-facing role with both new and existing accounts

Proficient in project coordination tools and design/technical software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)

High level of accountability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
