Job Summary
A growing fire protection contractor in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Service Manager to lead its service department in an in-office, direct hire role. This is an excellent opportunity for a service-focused leader with strong fire sprinkler industry knowledge, hands-on operational experience, and the ability to manage technicians, schedules, customer needs, emergency calls, and department performance.
The Fire Sprinkler Service Manager will oversee day-to-day service operations, support office and field teams, maintain strong customer relationships, and ensure service work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations for the fire sprinkler service department, including scheduling, workflow, emergency calls, repairs, inspections, and daywork projects.
- Lead office staff and field technicians by monitoring performance, assigning work, providing feedback, conducting evaluations, and supporting team development.
- Coordinate with customers, internal teams, vendors, subcontractors, and shop personnel to ensure timely, accurate, and code-compliant service delivery.
- Oversee customer relations, service agreements, proposals, complaints, documentation, billing, and follow-up to maintain a high level of client satisfaction.
- Manage department budgets, cost control, productivity reporting, vendor negotiations, and performance metrics.
- Maintain safety standards, project quality, internal communication expectations, and compliance with fire protection service procedures.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $100,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on experience.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Lead and manage fire sprinkler service department operations, including service scheduling, emergency repairs, inspections, and customer response.
- Oversee technicians, office staff, project coordination, budgets, service documentation, and department performance.
- Create and manage service agreement proposals, daywork projects, reporting, and customer issue resolution.
- Minimum 5 years of fire sprinkler industry experience, including service, repair, or inspection work.
- Minimum 2 years of managerial or supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of fire sprinkler service operations, safety practices, quality control, and code compliance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for scheduling, tracking, reporting, and budgeting.
- Strong organizational, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task and make sound decisions in a fast-paced service environment.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Preferred Qualifications
- NICET certification or related fire protection credentials.
- Experience working with local fire department and building inspection protocols.
- Familiarity with project management or service management software such as Procore, ServiceTrade, or similar platforms.
- College degree or equivalent leadership training.
- Experience negotiating with vendors and subcontractors in a construction, service, or fire protection environment.
