Job Summary
We are hiring a Service & Maintenance Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Bayamon, PR with an engineering services organization supporting field service, maintenance, and operational reliability. This role is ideal for an experienced maintenance, service operations, or facilities management leader who enjoys building strong teams, improving processes, supporting technical field operations, and ensuring high-quality service delivery for clients.
The Service & Maintenance Manager will oversee service, maintenance, and field operations while coordinating closely with supervisors, technicians, operators, clients, and internal departments. This is a strong opportunity for a hands-on leader who values safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Service & Maintenance Department by setting priorities, KPIs, performance expectations, and operational goals.
- Oversee daily service operations, preventive maintenance schedules, field resource planning, and technician coordination.
- Ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery while maintaining compliance with contracts, safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Provide technical guidance related to instrumentation, control systems, CHP generators, mechanical systems, and maintenance operations.
- Monitor department performance, identify operational gaps, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reliability, and uptime.
- Manage client relationships, resolve escalations, support audits and site visits, and oversee departmental budgets, purchases, proposals, and contract renewals.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $70,000 to $82,000 per year.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Job Type: Direct Hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5 to 10 years of field operations experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience managing maintenance, service, facilities, or field operations in an engineering services, industrial, mechanical, or technical environment.
- Working knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, mechanical maintenance, and equipment reliability practices.
- Ability to manage budgets, approve purchases, support service proposals, and assist with contract renewals.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety requirements, environmental standards, and operational compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, problem-solving, and client relationship management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced field operations environment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CHP generators or combined heat and power systems.
- Bilingual English and Spanish skills.
- Prior experience supporting audits, technical site visits, service contract renewals, and client-facing operational reviews.
