Position Overview: The Service Dispatcher plays a critical role in managing daily operations by scheduling service calls, coordinating technician routes, and ensuring timely communication with clients. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a calm demeanor under pressure, and experience in dispatching within a technical or service-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule and dispatch service technicians for installations, repairs, and maintenance appointments
Monitor technician availability, location, and workload to optimize daily routes
Communicate with customers regarding appointment times, delays, and service updates
Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure smooth project execution
Track service tickets, job progress, and completion status using dispatch software
Maintain accurate records of service calls, technician notes, and customer interactions
Handle urgent scheduling changes and resolve conflicts in real time
Support permit scheduling, inspection coordination, and compliance documentation as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in service dispatching or scheduling in a technical, construction, or field service environment
Strong proficiency in dispatch software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting
Familiarity with permit processes and city compliance is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications preferred
