Senior Trust Officer

Seeking an experienced Senior Trust Officer to manage and grow fiduciary relationships for a full-service bank. This role is responsible for the independent administration of trust and investment management accounts, maintaining strong relationships with clients and beneficiaries, and generating new business through professional and community partnerships.

Responsibilities
• Administer trust and agency accounts, including account opening, ongoing management, and closings
• Interpret and execute trust documents in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Prepare distribution plans and evaluate discretionary requests
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, beneficiaries, and centers of influence (attorneys, CPAs, advisors)
• Lead new business development efforts and achieve assigned growth goals
• Complete regulatory and administrative reviews, including Reg 9
• Support risk identification and mitigation within the trust department
• Provide mentorship and guidance to trust staff as needed

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required; JD, CTFA, AEP, or similar designation preferred
• 7–10 years of experience in trust administration
• Strong knowledge of trust, probate, fiduciary accounting, and tax principles
• Proficiency in asset allocation, investment vehicles, and modern portfolio theory
• Experience with trust accounting systems and strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
• Excellent communication, organizational, and client relationship skills
