Senior Tax Associate (CPA Required)

Overview
We are seeking a Senior Tax Associate (CPA) to join a growing tax team focused on high-quality tax compliance, planning, and client support—without the long hours typical of public accounting.
This role is ideal for an experienced tax professional who enjoys complex tax work, client interaction, and tax planning, while valuing a sustainable workload and collaborative, professional environment.
What You’ll Do
Review and prepare federal and state tax returns for:
High-net-worth individuals
Pass-through entities and trusts
(Forms 1040, 1120S, 1065, 1041)
Identify tax issues, risks, inconsistencies, and planning opportunities
Provide clear review notes and guidance to preparers
Prepare and review tax projections and planning strategies
Support clients with tax questions and year-round advisory needs
Conduct tax research and resolve technical issues
Collaborate with advisors and internal team members
Mentor junior staff and contribute to process improvements
Review and sign returns in accordance with credential and policy guidelines
What We’re Looking For
Active CPA or EA (required)
4–6 years of public accounting tax experience
Strong experience with individual and entity returns (1040, 1120S, 1065, 1041)
Experience with tax planning, projections, and advisory work
Knowledge of federal and multi-state tax compliance
Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to clearly explain technical tax matters to clients and teammates
Comfortable working in an in-office, team-based environment
Preferred Experience
High-net-worth individual and closely held business clients
Reviewing tax work and coaching junior staff
Process improvement or workflow optimization
Experience with ProSeries or similar tax software
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary: $95,000 – $110,000, based on experience
Performance bonus starting at 3% after year one (up to 10% over time)
Annual team bonus eligibility (historically 5%–8%)
401(k) with 100% employer match on the first 6%
Health insurance stipend:
$498/month (first 24 months)
$833/month beginning month 25

Firm-wide closure from Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day
