About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced tax professional who enjoys high-level technical work, client interaction, and tax planning—without the demanding hours typical of public accounting.
This role focuses on reviewing and preparing tax returns for high-net-worth individuals and related entities, while also supporting year-round tax planning and client advisory. You’ll join a collaborative, team-oriented environment that values quality, thoughtful work, and sustainable workloads.
What You’ll Do
Review federal and state tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120S, 1065, 1041)
Identify technical issues, inconsistencies, and tax risks
Provide clear, constructive feedback to preparers
Prepare complex individual and entity returns as needed
Support tax planning strategies and client advisory work
Prepare and review tax projections
Respond to client questions with clear, practical guidance
Conduct tax research and resolve technical issues
Mentor junior staff and support team development
Contribute to process improvements and workflow efficiency
What We’re Looking For
4–6 years of public accounting tax experience
Active CPA or EA required
Strong experience with Forms 1040, 1120S, 1065, and 1041
Experience with tax planning and projections
Knowledge of federal and multi-state tax compliance
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills (client-facing)
Highly organized with ability to manage multiple deadlines
Comfortable working in an in-office, collaborative environment
Preferred Experience
High-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses
Reviewing returns and mentoring staff
Workflow/process improvement
Experience with ProSeries or similar tax software
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $90K – $110K
Performance Bonus (3%+ after first year, increasing over time)
Team Bonus (historically 5–8%)
37.5-hour work week with every third Friday or Monday off
401(k) with 100% match up to 6%
Monthly health insurance contribution ($498–$833 based on tenure)
