Senior Tax Analyst – Indirect Tax
We are seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to support the preparation and submission of monthly state and local transactional tax filings. This role reports directly to the Global Indirect Tax Manager and plays a key part in ensuring compliance with indirect tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in state and local indirect taxes, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, growing organization within the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and file monthly state and local transactional tax returns accurately and on time
Ensure compliance with current indirect tax laws and regulations
Collaborate closely with the finance team to support accurate tax reporting
Analyze financial data to identify potential tax savings and risk areas
Assist in developing and implementing tax strategies to minimize liabilities
Provide support during state and local tax audits
Stay current on changes in tax legislation affecting the business
Required Qualifications
3–5 years of overall tax experience (required)
Senior-level experience with indirect state and local tax laws and regulations (required)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Taxation (required)
Advanced Excel proficiency (required)
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the hospitality or lodging industry
Public accounting experience
CPA license
Experience with PeopleSoft and/or Oracle
Experience with Vertex On Demand
Experience with Alteryx
