What You’ll Do
Provide accurate and timely bookkeeping for individuals and small businesses.
Manage tax resolution cases (offers in compromise, installment agreements, and IRS/state communication).
Prepare and review individual and business tax returns in full compliance with IRS and state regulations.
Review and sign off on all tax returns completed by preparers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Assist with audits and respond to IRS or state tax notices.
Write and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for tax prep, client onboarding, and document handling.
Train and mentor tax preparers and admin staff in accounting processes, tax software, and compliance practices.
Partner with leadership to improve internal systems, workflows, and client service quality.
Foster a culture of excellence, integrity, and team support.
Help grow and shape the firm’s service offerings and operations with a long-term mindset.
What We’re Looking For
Active CPA license in California (or eligible for reciprocity).
Minimum 3 years of experience in tax, bookkeeping, and/or public accounting.
Strong working knowledge of tax preparation, tax resolution strategies, and accounting principles.
Experience reviewing tax returns prepared by others.
Prior experience creating SOPs or process documents.
Proficiency with QuickBooks, Drake Software, and other accounting/tax platforms.
Strong leadership, communication, and teaching skills.
Able to lead and collaborate with a small support team.
Committed to helping grow a firm and building long-term success.
Bilingual in Spanish is a MUST!!
