A well-established Puerto Rican company in the food production, packaging, and distribution industry is seeking a Senior Programmer to support the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-level applications.
This role plays a key part in maintaining and enhancing both internally developed (in-house) platforms and Oracle-based systems, directly contributing to operational efficiency and technological advancement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Oracle, SQL, Python, and JavaScript.
Analyze and break down complex technical processes into structured, scalable solutions.Develop and optimize Oracle databases and advanced SQL queries.
Support integration, enhancement, and potential migration initiatives involving Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, or similar).
Maintain and enhance proprietary internal platforms.
Apply best practices in coding standards, documentation, testing, and version control.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior developers when required.
Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Programmer or Software Developer.
Strong hands-on experience with:
Oracle
Advanced SQL (query optimization, database modeling)
Python
JavaScript
Exposure or experience working in Cloud environments.
Experience developing complex enterprise-level solutions.
Fully bilingual (English & Spanish).
Strong analytical skills, communication abilities, and technical leadership capabilities.
