We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead projects through the preconstruction phase and ensure a smooth transition into construction. This role serves as the primary point of contact during preconstruction and works closely with internal teams, owners, designers, and key vendors to deliver accurate, well-coordinated project plans.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact during the preconstruction phase of assigned projects
Participate in all design meetings with owners, architects, and project stakeholders
Coordinate internal team involvement throughout the preconstruction process
Oversee the preparation of detailed estimates, schedules, and deliverables
Present estimates and preconstruction deliverables to owners and design teams
Coordinate contract reviews with risk management and internal stakeholders
Review RFPs, contracts, specifications, and project documents to identify scope, risk, and requirements
Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and consultants
Lead proposal scheduling and ensure logistical approaches are sound
Champion value engineering efforts and cost-saving strategies when budgets are exceeded
Lead the transition from preconstruction to construction by effectively transferring project information to the construction team

Requirements

15+ years of combined experience in estimating, preconstruction, and construction operations
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction science, architecture, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
Extensive knowledge of building design, systems, construction materials, and methods
Strong expertise in alternative materials, means, and methods to support value engineering
Proficiency in estimating and quantity take-off software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation abilities
Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate in a team-based project delivery environment
