Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale commercial new construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
Position Overview
The Senior Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for overall project leadership, financial performance, client satisfaction, and team development. This individual will oversee multiple large commercial ground-up projects or one highly complex project and will serve as the primary point of contact for owners and key stakeholders.
This role requires strong leadership, advanced construction knowledge, and the ability to drive schedules, budgets, and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide full lifecycle project leadership from preconstruction through final completion
Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and forecasting
Lead contract negotiations and manage subcontractor agreements
Oversee risk management, safety compliance, and quality control initiatives
Build and maintain strong client, architect, and consultant relationships
Direct and mentor Project Managers, Assistant PMs, and Project Engineers
Ensure accurate cost control, change order management, and financial reporting
Drive proactive problem-solving and decision-making on complex projects
Coordinate closely with field operations leadership and superintendents
Qualifications
10+ years of commercial construction experience
5+ years in a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager capacity
Proven experience leading ground-up commercial projects ($20M+ preferred)
Strong knowledge of construction means & methods, scheduling (Primavera or MS Project), and cost control
Experience with CMAR, Design-Build, and negotiated work preferred
Demonstrated leadership of large teams and multi-disciplinary coordination
Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
