Senior Healthcare Construction Project Manager
Location: Tampa, FL (Tampa Division)
Compensation: $110,000–$120,000+ (commensurate with experience)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Healthcare Project Manager to lead complex healthcare construction projects within our Tampa Division. This role is responsible for the successful planning, coordination, execution, and closeout of large-scale healthcare projects, while leading high-performing teams and ensuring quality, safety, schedule, and financial objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and coordinate all phases of major healthcare construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
Lead and manage large, multi-disciplinary project teams, including project managers, superintendents, and support staff
Collaborate with owners and architects during preconstruction to provide constructability input, value engineering, and preliminary budget estimates
Work with estimating teams to solicit subcontractor bids, evaluate proposals, and establish final contract values
Oversee project startup activities including site logistics, utilities, security, material storage, and site access coordination
Review subcontractor bids, conduct buyouts, negotiate contracts, and ensure all insurance and bonding requirements are met
Ensure contract compliance, quality control, and adherence to plans and specifications through frequent site inspections
Approve subcontractor pay applications, code and approve invoices, and manage retainage and project closeout documentation
Establish and maintain project cost accounting systems and oversee monthly job cost reporting and variance analysis
Prepare and submit monthly owner pay applications and resolve billing or payment delays
Develop and maintain CPM schedules in coordination with the Scheduling Department, adjusting for changes and material availability
Manage change orders, including pricing, schedule impacts, negotiations, and owner approvals
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and municipal regulations, company policies, and building codes
Oversee safety planning and enforcement, including safety meetings, inspections, and incident reviews
Mentor and develop project staff through training, coaching, and career planning initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
10+ years of commercial construction project management experience (healthcare experience strongly preferred)
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training (required or obtainable within the first year)
Proficiency with project management software and construction technology tools
Strong knowledge of cost projections, scheduling, financial analysis, budgeting, and labor reporting
Proven ability to lead multiple teams and manage complex, high-value projects
