Senior Food Technologist – Product Development & Food Innovation

AppleOne is seeking an experienced Senior Food Scientist to lead food product development and innovation for well-known brands and retail partners. This is a hands-on role for a food science professional who enjoys taking products from concept to commercialization in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

If you have strong expertise in food formulation, sensory evaluation, and production trials, this role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on market-ready food products.

Key Responsibilities

Lead new food product development from ideation through commercialization

Develop, test, and optimize food formulations for taste, nutrition, shelf life, and cost

Conduct sensory evaluations, bench testing, and pilot/production trials

Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Operations

Prepare product samples and technical support materials for customer presentations

Manage multiple R&D projects, timelines, and development documentation

Ensure products meet food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance standards

Guide and prioritize lab-based product development activities

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

5+ years of experience in food product development or food R&D preferred

Strong knowledge of food ingredients, nutrition, and processing methods

Experience with sensory testing, formulation, and scale-up

Excellent project management, organization, and communication skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
