Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Financial Systems Analyst for a direct hire opportunity supporting financial systems within a legal services environment. This role is ideal for a highly technical financial systems professional with deep hands-on Aderant Expert experience and strong SQL Server, reporting, data architecture, and integrations expertise.
The Senior Financial Systems Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert between Finance, Accounting, Billing, and IT, helping ensure critical financial platforms are stable, accurate, scalable, and optimized for business needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior analyst who enjoys solving complex system and data challenges, improving workflows, supporting modernization initiatives, and partnering with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Configure, support, and enhance Aderant Expert financial system modules, including billing, collections, time entry, and related financial workflows.
- Support Aderant Expert in the Sierra cloud environment, including troubleshooting, upgrades, patches, integrations, testing, and new module implementations.
- Customize forms, inquiries, workflows, and rules using Aderant Classic, Framework, and DocuDraft.
- Develop and maintain SQL Server queries, stored procedures, SSRS reports, dashboards, KPIs, profitability reporting, and ad hoc financial reporting.
- Maintain data integrity, troubleshoot complex financial data issues, and support reporting accuracy across integrated legal financial systems.
- Support data warehouse design, ETL pipelines, data modeling, documentation, automation, and ongoing financial systems optimization.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $130,000 to $150,000+ per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Serve as the technical financial systems lead for Aderant Expert administration, configuration, reporting, integrations, and optimization.
- Support financial reporting, SQL development, data integrity, data warehouse initiatives, and ETL-related projects.
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, Billing, and IT stakeholders to translate business needs into effective system solutions.
- Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, testing, documentation, workflow automation, and process improvement initiatives.
- 8+ years of experience supporting financial systems in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Aderant Expert.
- Strong experience with Aderant Classic, Aderant Framework, and DocuDraft.
- Strong proficiency with SQL Server, stored procedures, and SSRS.
- Experience with data modeling, data warehouse design, and ETL pipelines.
- Experience supporting integrated legal financial systems.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical and functional solutions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder partnership, and documentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting Aderant Expert in the Sierra cloud environment.
- Experience with legal billing, collections, time entry, profitability analysis, and finance operations workflows.
- Background supporting financial systems modernization, process automation, data architecture, or reporting enhancement initiatives.
- Experience working directly with senior finance, accounting, billing, and IT stakeholders in a law firm or professional services setting.
