Shape the Future of Building Safety
We’re seeking a Senior Evaluation Engineer to lead product evaluations that determine whether construction materials and systems meet building codes and standards. This is a remote role with national impact, high visibility, and an exceptional benefits package.
What You’ll Do
Review technical data, test reports, and calculations for compliance with building codes (IBC/IRC) and standards (ASTM, NFPA, UL).
Write clear, defensible evaluation reports and product listings.
Manage projects — scope, budget, schedule, and client communications.
Act as a technical liaison with manufacturers, accreditation bodies, and leadership.
Represent the organization at industry events (up to 25% U.S. travel).
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering (MS preferred).
EIT required; PE strongly preferred.
5–7+ years of experience in building products, construction materials, or product testing/certification.
Strong knowledge of IBC/IRC codes, ASTM/NFPA/UL standards, and ISO/IEC 17065/17025.
Excellent technical writing and client-facing communication skills.
