Job Summary
A Senior DevOps Engineer is needed for a direct hire opportunity in Buffalo, NY, supporting secure, cloud-native infrastructure and automation initiatives. This role is ideal for a hands-on DevOps professional who enjoys building scalable AWS environments, improving deployment pipelines, and solving complex infrastructure challenges in regulated settings.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that improve release speed, reliability, and software delivery quality.
- Automate deployment, monitoring, logging, and alerting processes using tools such as CloudWatch, New Relic, Python, Bash, and related technologies.
- Collaborate with Software Engineering and Quality Assurance teams to improve deployment workflows, release processes, and platform reliability.
- Support secure data migration, cloud operations, observability, incident response, and compliance-focused infrastructure initiatives.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert during client engagements, deployments, workshops, training, and post-implementation support.
Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $85,000 to $140,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Design and support secure AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
- Lead or support secure cloud migrations, compliance-focused infrastructure initiatives, and client deployment activities.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, GitLab, Packer, Python, Bash, Ansible, and Linux.
- Experience designing, deploying, scaling, and troubleshooting secure cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD best practices, infrastructure automation, cloud troubleshooting, monitoring, and observability.
- Experience supporting regulated or compliance-focused environments involving GDPR, HIPAA, PCI, PHI, or PII.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be able to meet eligibility requirements to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
- Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future, including OPT, CPT, H-1B, TN, E-3, L-1, or other temporary work authorization.
- Valid passport and ability to travel freely and without restrictions throughout the United States and occasionally to Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting high-security, regulated, government-related, or mission-critical environments.
- Familiarity with multi-cloud architectures and cloud migration initiatives.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring, observability, incident management, and reliability engineering best practices.
- Experience working directly with clients in consulting, implementation, deployment, training, or technical support capacities.
