Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Change Manager for a direct hire opportunity supporting major transformation initiatives within Merchant Services in the banking and consumer lending industry. This highly visible role is ideal for a seasoned change management professional who can drive adoption, manage stakeholder engagement, support governance forums, and communicate effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

This opportunity offers the chance to work in a professional, collaborative environment with strong leadership visibility and meaningful transformation work. The Senior Change Manager will play a key role in helping teams navigate change, align around priorities, and execute within established governance processes. The right candidate will be proactive, polished, self-driven, and comfortable influencing across all levels of the organization.

This is not a traditional project manager role. While project and program management experience is valuable, the primary focus is formal change management, change governance, executive communication, readiness, adoption, and stakeholder alignment within a complex Merchant Services environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end change management activities across Merchant Services transformation initiatives.
- Facilitate change governance processes, including large tollgate forums with 40+ participants and stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Develop clear executive communications, presentations, summaries, and stakeholder messaging that simplify complex information.
- Drive stakeholder engagement, readiness, adoption, and alignment across business, technical, and leadership teams.
- Manage up, across, and with peers while influencing without authority and resolving conflict professionally.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure change activities are executed with discipline, professionalism, and measurable progress.

Compensation and Benefits

- Compensation: $87.33 per hour.
- Job Type: Direct Hire.
- Location: Irving, TX preferred.
- Other locations considered: Charlotte, NC.
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid schedule with 3 days on-site per week.
- Travel: Potential domestic travel up to 5%.
- Interview Process: 1 round via Microsoft Teams, approximately 45 minutes.
- Extension: Potential, subject to performance and business need.
- Conversion: Potential, subject to performance and business need.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Lead change management execution for large-scale Merchant Services transformation initiatives.
- Manage stakeholder engagement, communications, readiness, adoption, and change governance.
- Facilitate senior-level forums, tollgate meetings, and cross-functional alignment sessions.
- Create concise executive presentations, summaries, and communications for leadership audiences.

- 6+ years of change management experience.
- 5 to 6+ years of banking experience.
- 3+ years of merchant services or merchant banking experience, required.
- 4 to 6 years of executive communications experience.
- 4 to 6 years of project and program management experience.
- Experience with formal change governance processes and the ability to execute within established frameworks.
- Ability to interact confidently with all levels of management, including senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
- Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to build concise, high-impact executive decks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and SharePoint, including document organization, site management, and posting communications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to condense complex information into clear, concise messaging.
- Proven ability to take initiative, anticipate needs, solve problems independently, and drive work forward with minimal supervision.
- Professional conflict-resolution skills with the ability to be assertive, collaborative, and respectful.
- Ability to lead, coach, or guide others in a team-oriented environment.
- Must submit a clean, concise, original-format resume that demonstrates clear writing, summarized accomplishments, specific actions taken, and results achieved.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience supporting transformation initiatives within merchant banking, payments, card services, or financial services operations.
- Experience working in a two-organization or matrixed support structure.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders in a complex enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated curiosity, professionalism, adaptability, and desire to grow into broader leadership responsibilities.
