We’re Hiring: Senior Accountant I
We’re looking for a Senior Accountant I to join our team in a hands-on, individual contributor role focused on grant and fund accounting within a government or public-sector environment.
This role is ideal for an accountant who enjoys detail-oriented, compliance-driven work and wants to make a meaningful impact by supporting grant-funded programs.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage multiple funding sources and grant streams
• Review grant-related:
o Purchase requisitions
o Timesheets
o Accounts payable (AP) vouchers
o Subcontractor payment requests
• Ensure:
o Accurate project and grant coding
o Budget availability and compliance
o Proper approvals and documentation
• Prepare billing statements and reimbursement requests for funding agencies
• Support General Ledger reconciliation and grant-related reporting
What We’re Looking For
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience
• 1–3 years of accounting experience
• Strong preference for experience in:
o Grant accounting
o Government, public sector, or nonprofit organizations
o Fund accounting environments
Skills & Work Style
• Detail-oriented and highly analytical
• Comfortable with tedious, exacting, compliance-heavy work
• Able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Confident working independently with general guidance
• Professional communicator with internal teams and external agencies
