Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and analyze financial statements, accounting records, and management reports.
- Perform account reconciliations, research discrepancies, and ensure accurate financial records.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and budget-to-actual variance analysis.
- Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure transactions are properly classified.
- Analyze revenues, expenses, costs, commitments, and other financial activity to identify trends.
- Assist with tax preparation, compliance requirements, audits, documentation, and process improvements.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $99,000 to $128,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Prepare financial statements, accounting reports, reconciliations, and account analyses.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, tax preparation, and audit activities.
- Maintain accounting processes, chart of accounts, documentation, and financial records.
- Partner with leadership and internal teams to resolve accounting questions and improve reporting accuracy.

- 6 to 10 years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior accountant or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.
- Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements.
- Strong reconciliation, account analysis, and discrepancy research skills.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency with accounting or financial management software.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to explain financial information clearly to both accounting and non-accounting teams.
- High level of discretion when handling confidential financial information.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in construction, professional services, or project-based accounting environments.
- Experience supporting internal or external audits.
- Experience improving accounting processes, reporting workflows, or recordkeeping systems.
- Ability to provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
