Job Summary
A well-established organization in Seattle is seeking a Senior Accountant for an onsite contract opportunity supporting accounting and financial reporting for tax credit properties and limited partnerships. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with strong GAAP reporting, HUD compliance, and regulated property accounting experience who can contribute quickly in a deadline-driven finance environment.
The Senior Accountant will work closely with finance, compliance, asset management, and operations teams to support accurate reporting, audit readiness, reconciliations, and investor documentation. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for tax credit properties and limited partnerships.
- Manage general ledger activity, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and supporting schedules.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, HUD reporting requirements, LIHTC guidelines, and related investor documentation.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, projections, and reporting deliverables.
- Assist with audits, compliance reviews, and documentation requests.
- Partner with finance, compliance, asset management, and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate accounting support.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay Rate: $42.11 to $63.16 per hour.
- Location: Seattle, WA.
- Work Arrangement: Fully onsite.
- Duration: Approximately 3 months.
- Start Date: ASAP.
- Projected End Date: October 31, 2026.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Prepare financial statements and reporting packages for tax credit properties and limited partnerships.
- Manage general ledger accounting, reconciliations, schedules, and financial reporting activities.
- Support HUD compliance, GAAP reporting, audits, and investor documentation.
- Partner cross-functionally with finance, compliance, asset management, and operations teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong experience with financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
- Working knowledge of GAAP requirements.
- Experience with HUD reporting and compliance requirements.
- Limited Partnership accounting experience is required.
- Proficiency with accounting software and financial reporting systems.
- Ability to step into a complex accounting environment quickly with minimal training.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, communication skills, and ability to meet reporting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, LIHTC, programs is highly preferred.
- Background in affordable housing, real estate accounting, property accounting, tax credit properties, or regulated financial environments.
- Experience preparing investor reporting documentation and supporting audit or compliance review processes.
