Job Summary

A growing organization in the automotive and parts manufacturing industry is seeking a Senior Accountant for a direct hire opportunity in Anaheim, CA. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys owning key close activities, performing detailed reconciliations, analyzing financial data, and supporting accurate reporting in a fast-paced business environment.

The Senior Accountant will play an important role on a collaborative accounting team, with visibility across Sales, Operations, and Finance. Key Responsibilities

- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, schedules, and financial reporting support.
- Calculate, reconcile, and analyze sales commissions to ensure accurate and timely payments.
- Manage accounting for customer rebates, discounts, and incentive programs in alignment with company policies.
- Perform detailed balance sheet, general ledger, and account reconciliations, including research and resolution of discrepancies.
- Analyze financial data, identify variances, and recommend improvements to accounting processes and reporting accuracy.
- Partner with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams, and assist with audit preparation and internal control support.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $80,000 to $105,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Location: Anaheim, CA.
- Candidates should be comfortable traveling to the Fontana office several days per week during the initial training period.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes.
- Manage commission, rebate, discount, and incentive accounting activities.
- Perform general ledger, balance sheet, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, schedules, variance analysis, and audit support documentation.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with Senior Accountant responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial close procedures, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
- Experience handling sales commissions, customer rebates, discounts, and accounting variances.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, and complex formulas.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Preferred Qualifications

- NetSuite experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in a high-volume, distribution, manufacturing, automotive, or parts manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to improve accounting processes, identify efficiencies, and strengthen reporting accuracy.
- Self-motivated professional who can work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
