We are seeking a Senior Accountant for a direct hire opportunity with an established accounting services environment in Media, PA. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who is confident with general ledgers, trial balances, QuickBooks, and business tax preparation, and who enjoys working directly with clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and review general ledger activity, trial balances, reconciliations, and related accounting records.
- Complete business tax returns and corporate tax return preparation with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Use QuickBooks extensively to manage client accounting records, reporting, and financial workflows.
- Communicate directly with clients to gather information, explain accounting processes, and support ongoing service needs.
- Apply sound accounting judgment and clearly explain the reasoning behind accounting procedures and recommendations.
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented office culture while supporting client retention and potential business development efforts.

Compensation and Benefits

- Compensation: Up to $125,000 per year.
- Commission opportunity: 20 percent commission on any collected revenue generated from new clients you bring in.
- Employment type: Direct hire, full-time.
- Schedule: Onsite Monday through Friday, with choice of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Location: Media, PA to start, with the ability to transition to a South Jersey office once comfortable, if preferred.
- Attire: Business or upscale business casual.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Prepare general ledgers, trial balances, reconciliations, and related accounting schedules.
- Prepare business tax returns and corporate tax returns for clients.
- Manage client accounting work in QuickBooks and maintain accurate financial records.
- Interface with clients and explain accounting processes clearly and professionally.

- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and trial balance preparation.
- Expert-level QuickBooks skills.
- Experience with business tax returns and corporate tax preparation.
- Ability to technically explain accounting processes and the purpose behind specific accounting procedures.
- Ideally 5 or more years of accounting experience.
- Strong client service, relationship management, and communication skills.
- Team-oriented attitude with a positive, professional, and collaborative approach.
- Ability to contribute to a strong office culture where morale and professionalism are important.

Preferred Qualifications

- CPA designation preferred but not required.
- Experience bringing in new client business or supporting business development efforts.
- Prior experience in an accounting or auditing services environment.
- Interest in long-term upward mobility and growth within a professional accounting practice.
