Senior Accountant – Manufacturing (Leadership Opportunity)
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our manufacturing accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who is ready to take the lead—driving process improvements, managing daily accounting functions, and partnering closely with operations and leadership.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting strategic decision-making in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily accounting operations including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.
Partner with plant and operations teams to monitor inventory, costing, and production variances.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Assist with audit preparation, tax filings, and compliance activities.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA preferred).
5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or cost accounting environment.
Strong understanding of GAAP, inventory control, and cost analysis.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Self-starter with leadership potential and a proactive approach to challenges.
Proficient in ERP/accounting systems (such as NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks Enterprise) and Excel.
