About the Opportunity
We are currently partnering with one of our established Tucson-area clients to identify a Senior Accountant with strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record in full-cycle accounting. This is a key role within our client’s accounting team and offers the opportunity to contribute at both a strategic and hands-on level.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Maintain accuracy and integrity of the general ledger in accordance with GAAP
Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to accounting staff
Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with internal controls
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
Minimum of 5+ years of recent experience in a Senior Accountant role
Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring or supervising staff
Strong knowledge of GAAP and full-cycle accounting practices
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP or accounting systems
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
CPA or CPA-eligible
Experience within [industry, if applicable]
Background supporting audits or system implementations
