We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close activities for a growing organization. The ideal candidate has strong general ledger experience, a solid understanding of GAAP, and the ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies. This is a mid-to-senior-level accounting role, not entry level.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
Perform month-end and year-end close, including account reconciliations
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, balance sheet, and income statement accounts
Prepare and analyze financial statements and variance reports
Support AP/AR oversight, including review and troubleshooting as needed
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Support audit preparation and respond to auditor requests
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
Partner with internal stakeholders to improve processes and efficiencies
Handle special projects and ad hoc reporting as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong working knowledge of GAAP
Advanced experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations
Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)
