Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant will:
Manage and coordinate the accounts payable process
Highly desired experience in management of Captive insurance program, prepaid amortization schedules, workers compensation loss funds, and IBNR/LDF reserve calculations
Work with purchasing and receiving to streamline process for accurate documentation receipt, review, invoice match, and payment processing
Facilitate weekly AP check runs
Assist in development of electronic payment interface to move paper checks to ACH payments
Reconcile all debits, ACH payments, and record journal entry of the same
Reconcile credit card transactions, and record journal entry of expenses
Assist with fleet lease management and assignment/recording of expenses by vehicle
Maintain cost centers for equipment and vehicles in ERP system
Monthly reconciliation of cash and primary balance sheet accounts
Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures
Assist with maintaining working capital / weekly profitability model
Financial analysis and performance metrics
Assist with cost management and production flow tracking
Assist with financial statement preparation, budgets, and tax vs book reporting

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Strong understanding of accounting theory and GAAP
Accounts payable management experience
5+ years accounting/finance experience
Understanding of manufacturing processes and cost management preferred
Highly detail oriented and great organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse personalities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
Other considerations
Candidate will be in a developmental role to advance into controllership function based upon acuity, performance, and leadership capability.
